G
Sports are my passion. Weather it be playing, watching, reading about or telling Sami how he is wrong about many topics, when I am involved with anything sports I am at my best.
Since I could open my eyes and create a thought, I was all about sports. There are actually pictures of me a week old with a Jets hat and ball in my crib.
I like to say that my father raised me to be a loser. That is because he taught me to root for such teams as the Mets and Jets, and I followed his lead and picked up two more inept organizations in the Knicks and Rangers. Now reading that, you know that I have suffered through some dark days in the early 90s with the Mets and Jets and this decade with the Knicks and Rangers. For some strange reason though I keep coming back for more punishment. I event tried to swear off the Mets after that debacle last September, but it was impossible.
Watching is not the only aspect of sports that I love. I grew up playing any sport I possibly could. From competitive Baseball, Soccer and Basketball (played JV and Varsity Basketball for my high school) to playing Hockey and Tennis in the street (yea that's right, Tennis with no net in the street, although I wasn't very good) I was always looking for some kind of athletic competition. If it were up to me Id still be doing the same everyday, but the college life turned my body into something comparable to the Cubs franchise.

With all that being said, I truly believe there are few out there that are more passionate about their teams than me. Ive ran up and down dorm halls at 1 am screaming with joy after the Mets won the 2000 NL Pennant, and Ive drowned my sorrows of an OT Jets' playoff loss in 1.75 ml of rum in just over a few hours. From Messier's guarantee and Ventura's Grand Single, to Ewing's finger roll and Testaverde's Achilles Ive been through all the good and bad.

I also love any kind of sports trivia. Now I am not going to sit here, like my competition in this article probably will, and tell you that I know every piece of sports trivia. When dealing with trivia, the bottom line is most people don't know the right answer, but can make an educated guess at it. So when my counterpart tells you that he is the end all be all of sports knowledge, he is just showing that he is all talk.
Weather it be watching, debating or playing I spend a majority of my time with sports. I care about my teams as much as any die hard out there and I know more than most.
As you will probably figure out, when deciding between G or Sami, G is clearly the king on The PineRiders.
