NFL Power Rankings Week 2

There are two teams that are clearly above the rest in the NFL right now and they are not the Pats Colts or Chargers. Week 2 brought some sanity to the league and things will only get better in the upcoming weeks.

1.	Cowboys 2-0- I know everyone is questioning the defense after the high scoring game with the Eagles, but this team can beat you in a shootout or a defensive battle. Everyone seems to forget that pro bowl CB Terence Newman is still not 100 %.	1
2.	Steelers 2-0- The health of Big Ben is a concern in steel town right now, but he appears to be fine. They won ugly in a storm on Sunday and this team has it on both sides of the ball. Santonio Holmes is becoming a star quick.	2
3.	Giants 2-0- Michael Strahan who? Osi Umenyiora who? Justin Tuck has become an absolute beast. This team schedule is a joke and they won’t play a real team until late October.	4
4.	Packers 2-0- Uh Oh….Reality check against the Cowboys this weekend.	8
5.	Patriots 2-0- Did anyone think Belichick and co. would lie down and play dead? The defense played really well on Sunday and will carry this team all year.	9
6.	Eagles 1-1- Brian Westbrook is the most dangerous player in the game. If McNabb stays healthy they are going to score a lot of points. This team is very similar to the Eagle teams of 5 years ago.	7
7.	Colts 1-1- They could not stop the run again and now they lost Bob Sanders for 6 weeks. It is not going to be easy with all these injuries, but Manning is still Manning (That’s Peyton Sami..not Eli).	3
8.	Panthers 2-0- They followed up a nice win in San Diego with a strong win against the Bears. Steve Smith is back as they face a tough task going into Minnesota for week 3.	12
9.	Titans 2-0- Vince Young has lost it and Kerry Collins is sober. The schedule favors them for the first two months and could allow them to get off to a big start.	10
10.	Broncos 2-0- They were very lucky to beat the Chargers. There is talent on both sides of the ball, but I just cannot take this team seriously until they string a few big wins together.	16
11.	Bills 2-0- Great win in Jacksonville. Trent Edwards has not thrown an interception and has a 71% completion percentage. Couple that with Marshawn Lynch and this offense is good. Can Edwards remain this good all year though?	13
12.	Chargers 0-2- They should be 1-1, but that is no excuse. The Broncos ran the same play for a TD and a two point conversion in succession and they looked confused. They will be out for blood this week and of course they get to play my Jets.	5
13.	Saints 1-1- Deuce McAllister has disappeared and Reggie Bush has taken the spotlight. Either way that was a bad loss against the Skins in week 2.	6
14.	Cardinals 2-0- Kurt Warner looked good. He can throw to the best WR tandem in the game and this offense is really good. I questioned Ken Whisenhunt’s decision to start Warner and boy was I wrong. This could be a playoff team in 08.	17
15.	Buccaneers 1-1- I know it was the Falcons, but that was a good bounce back win. Griese did a nice job holding down the fort for Garcia..but then he took Garcia’s job? Hmmmm questionable decision Chucky.	19
16.	Jets 1-1- When did Eric Mangini become Herman Edwards. First and goal from the 3 and 3 straight running plays that result in a Field Goal is the reason they lost the game.	14
17.	Bears 1-1- Kyle Orton has not thrown an interception in two games and they just split on the road with the Colts and Panthers.	15
18.	Redskins 1-1-I really don’t like this team, but beating the Saints was impressive. If Jason Campbell plays like that all year this team could be close to 8 wins. I doubt he will though.	22
19.	Vikings 0-2 – The Tavaris Jackson era has come to an end after just two games. I understand they are 0-2, but losing to the Packers and Colts is not the end of the world. Come on…Who is excited for Gus Frerotte?	18
20.	Jaguars 0-2- Just 66 yards rushing combined for Taylor and Jones-Drew. I wish I never picked this team for the playoff because they are not going to be there.	11
21.	Browns 0-2- I know they have done nothing offensively this year, but they played the Cowboys in week 1 and the Steelers in week 2. I don’t expect the same record as last year, but they are better than they have looked so far.	20
22.	49ers 1-1-Hey say what you want about this team, but they went into Seattle and won, which is not an easy thing to do. J.T O’Sullivan has not looked bad YET this year.	28
23.	Ravens 1-0- They get their bye in week 2 now. That means 15 straight games for rookie Joe Flacco.	23
24.	Texans 0-1- If they cannot play at Reliant it is going to be a long year for them.	24
25.	Seahwaks 0-2- Can they possibly lose to the Rams too? The injuries have become so bad that they re-signed Koren Robinson.	21
26.	Raiders 1-1- Nice bounce back win even though it was against the Herms. Heavy doses of Darren McFadden could be the key to Lane Kiffin keeping his job.	26
27.	Falcons 1-1- Matt Ryan got a wakeup call playing that Bucs D going 13-33 with 2 interceptions. O Michael Turner is human too.	27
28.	Lions 0-2- So much for trying to run the ball this year. Either way they played well for 3 quarters against the Packers, but did not have enough to seal the win. O watch out for Calvin Johnson this year.	28
29.	Dolphins 0-2- After a solid opening week, the Fins came out and layed a stinker in week 2. The running game needs to pick it up or it will be another long year.	25
30.	Bengals 0-2- Can someone please fire Marvin Lewis. They have too much talent on offense to be only scoring 7 points.	31
31.	Chiefs 0-1- I hate Herman Edwards	30
32.	Rams 0-1- Good god this team looks bad. They got their first 3rd down conversion of the season late in the first quarter and that came on a facemask penalty.	32
