BOO of the Week 8/12

This may be a short Boo, but it is one that is definitely deserving. Just a few days after getting dominated by the Cubs, the Brewers found themselves trying to bounce back on the road. After a nice job in Atlanta they Brewers opened a 3 game set against the Braves.

In the seventh inning after being taken out for a pinch hitter, Manny Parra found himself getting hit even out of the game. The problem is he was not being hit by the Cincinnati Reds, but by the Milwaukee Brewers. Parra's pitches were not being hit however, but instead he was being pushed by his own teammate Prince Fielder.

I have no idea what the two pushes were for and frankly I really don’t care. I do want to question Prince Fielder’s brains however. As a former all-star and one of the better players on the team, I demand more out of Prince. After coming off getting their head kicked in by the Cubs and virtually playing themselves out of contention of the NL Central crown, this arrogant overweight bum decides to make everything about himself and not his team. I understand that things happen and emotions run high when playing sports, but that is no excuse for a supposed team leader to be waddling around snuffing his teammates. Luckily for Prince, the fight did not have an effect on the teams play and they have bounced back nicely.

Aside from the fact that his antics are nothing but distractions for the team, I must also question Fielder as a man. Prince is a power hitting 1B weighing in at 270 lbs (he is listed at 270, but we all know that is more like 290-310), and he decided to take swings on a 208 lb pitcher (keep in mind Fielder is 5`11 and Parra is 6`3)! After Prince shoved Parra the first time, Parra fell back with one of the most terrified looks I have ever seen. So being the man that he is Prince decided to shove the pitcher again and show how tough he really is.

If Prince wants to show his manhood and fight his teammates, he should take a swing at C.C Sabathia. Not only would that be a fair fight, it would sure as hell be an entertaining one.

Having a man 290lbs attack a guy who is lanky 209lbs is something that even Vince McMachon may not approve of. Prince Fielder's selfish actions not only served as a distraction for his team, but showed exactly the kind of person he is. For these actions Prince, I call you away from the refrigerator to scream in your ear....

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
